FC Halifax Town Player Profiles

Posted 24th June 2016 at 02:23 pm

One of several current FC Halifax Town players who played under manager Billy Heath at North Ferriby United, Nicholson was the second goalkeeper brought in over the summer. Nicholson generally filled the back-up role at North Ferriby however was called upon several times in his time there, earning good reviews when he was between the sticks. His former clubs include Hull City, Scarborough and Garforth Town.

He was a part of the Villagers squad which won the FA Trophy in 2015 so is familiar with the feeling that Town fans and last season’s remaining players have had. He said: “When we won the trophy it pushed us on at the start of the next season. Hopefully, with the fans still buzzing from the Wembley win, they’ll get behind the lads.”
