The Result: Curzon 0-5 FC Halifax Town.

Some 700 Town fans made the short trip to the Tameside Stadium on a chilly Monday evening but were warmed by The Shaymen's' performance.

The stadium itself is a fairly new build modern arena and forms part of a very smart sporting complex which also caters for hockey and athletics amongst others.

Thankfully there was ample free car parking for the total crowd of 803 and having paid £6.00 to gain entry plus an additional £1.50 for a commendable programme we enjoyed a few relaxing drinks in the smart and spacious clubhouse though perhaps it would have been prudent to have more than 2 people serving on.

The ground has an all seater stand which the bar backs onto and opposite this down the other touchline is a large covered terrace which affords an excellent view. Behind both goals was uncovered terracing and this makes it in the top 3 of grounds in this league.

Even better news for the hungry Town faithful who had come straight from work Greggs pies and pasties are on sale at the ground and are plentiful, piping hot and well priced.

As for the match itself well the boys continued where they had left off against Lancaster sweeping Curzon aside in a totally one sided encounter winning 5-0 in the end.
