Updated Season Tickets 2011/12

Posted on: Sat 16 Jul 2011

On the 19th June, The Club announced the core season ticket prices for their first season in the Football Conference - Blue Square Bet North Division for the 2011-2012 season. At the end of the announcement we confirmed there would be another category of ticket being introduced, which is now included in this revised bulletin. We have introduced a new age group ticket for '16 and Under' and a lower match day admission threshold. Match day admission is now £7.50, 50 pence less than last season and two pounds less than the 'Concession' price for this season. The season ticket price is introduced at £132, £37 less than the 2011-2012 'Concession' season ticket. We recognise that the Club wants families to be able to attend on a regular basis, hence we have introduced this new category at a time when financial management is difficult for everyone.

SEASON TICKETS (For 21 Home League Games)

Season Ticket Cost per game Full Match Day Price
Adults £212.00 £10.09 £12.50
Concessions £169.00 £8.05 £9.50
16 and Under

£132.00

£6.29 £7.50
Under 12's * £59.00 £2.80 £5.00
Under 7's ** FREE £0.00 £2.00

* Under 12s who buy a season ticket, will automatically receive free membership (normally £10.00 per season) for the 'Junior Blues' Supporter's Club, will receive a free gift and a 10% discount voucher for a Junior Replica Shirt. We are grateful to Sovereign Healthcare who have yet again continued with their incentive to help us maintain the Under 12 ticket at the same price for the new season and at such an attractive price.

** Under 7s who enrol for a season ticket receive it FREE OF CHARGE, again this is through the joint initiative with our sponsor, Sovereign Healthcare and the community support programme, provided they join the 'Junior Blues' supporters group, membership of which is also free of charge (normally £10.00 per season). Also, they will receive a free gift and a free invitation to the 'Christmas Party'.

The Season Ticket covers League games only. Tickets are NOT transferable. All Cup Competitions will require separate payment. Specific rules must be observed for the issue of season tickets. All those in age specific or status categories must be in that age group category on or before 13th August 2011. One application per person per ticket.

ALL FIGURES INCLUDE VAT. For 2011-2012, under the 'cost per game' figures for having a season ticket after deduction of VAT at 20%, the Club retains the following: Adult Price: £8.41 (VAT £1.68), Concession Price: £6.71 (VAT £1.34), 16 and UNDER Price: £5.24 (VAT £1.05) and Under 12, £2.33 (VAT £0.47).

As always, the Club has thought long and hard before putting up prices particularly in the current economic climate. However, it has also had to recognise that increasing costs through achieving promotion to the higher league, a full season of VAT @ 20% are significant enough to require some action, to ensure we manage our expenditure well and maintain competitiveness on the pitch. As you are aware, we have also managed to retain the services of our successful Manager, Neil Aspin for another two seasons, which we believe is very important for the future progress of FC Halifax Town. Securing Neil's services and recruiting players to play at a higher level, do come at a carefully managed cost. Along with additional travelling costs, we now have round trips to Bishop's Stortford (365 miles), Gloucester City (330 miles), Histon (315 miles) and Worcester City (287 miles) to name just a few, so we have numerous considerations to take in to account.

Neil has asked to say a few words regarding this announcement 'I hope that you have all enjoyed the last couple of seasons and as you will have read elsewhere, I am also delighted to have extended my contract at FC Halifax Town. I have enjoyed my time at the Shay Stadium so far, made all the easier with the success we have had as a group, on and off the pitch. I have also been delighted by support from you the fans, without which we would not have achieved what we have. We have now moved up two leagues and it will be especially hard to replicate the success we have had so far. However, we will certainly be as competitive as possible and I want to ask for YOUR SUPPORT again. The Board have promised that all the proceeds from the sale of season tickets will be directly invested in the team. I will do my utmost along with my management team and the players to provide as much entertainment and success as possible for next season. PLEASE, PLEASE purchase a season ticket and let's see if we can achieve a third consecutive season of record season ticket sales and I will do my very best to put the funds to good use. When the tickets are made available, PLEASE PURCHASE THAT TICKET AS IT WILL HELP US ALL'.

Whilst the season tickets have increased as a consequence of the increased admission prices, they still represent a very useful saving and as Neil Aspin has referred to above, the successful sale of season tickets helps the structure of the playing squad. We would like to thank SOVEREIGN HEALTHCARE for not only supporting the prices of the 'Junior' age groups, but also continuing their support of our 'Schools' Programme, aimed at increasing the young fans of the future coming to the Shay Stadium and getting involved with FC Halifax Town. Again, SOVEREIGN HEALTHCARE are also sponsoring the Five a Side Competition run throughout the season as well as the provision of the match day ball boys and ball girls.

Season tickets will be available to purchase from Monday 11th July 2011 and will be available until NOON on Friday 12th August 2011, after which the sale of season tickets ends. The season kicks off on Saturday 13th August 2011 and fixtures have now been announced, our first game being at home to Corby Town on Saturday 13th August 2011.

We hope this brief outline confirms the prices clearly for the forthcoming season and hope you understand the issues involved. Please can we also draw your attention to our FOUR home friendlies which also help bring in vital revenue, prior to the start of the season. We have managed to bring two Football League Clubs and two Conference Premier teams to the Shay Stadium as follows: Saturday 16th July Scunthorpe Utd, Saturday 23rd July Mansfield Town, Tuesday 26th July Port Vale and finally Tuesday 2nd August York City. We do hope you can come along, see the arrival of the new players and welcome back some old friends too!

Thankyou for your support.

Bring on the Shaymen!
