The Shaymen head into Saturday's home game against Chorley FC in confident mood and are seeking to extend their unbeaten League run to an impressive 10 games. The Unibond League Division One North leaders have won eight and drawn one of their previous 9 fixtures and reached the summit a week ago with a 3 v 2 win at Woodley Sports.

It was cup action in midweek and another victory with Sheffield FC defeated after extra time. There are no fitness or fatigue concerns in the camp following a programme of conditioning work that has left the squad in tip top condition.

There were impressive performances in midweek from Danny Ellis, Luke Hinsley and Kris King who have all been on the periphery of the first team in recent weeks but their form has given Manager Jim Vince a welcome selection headache heading into Saturday's clash against Tony Hesketh's Chorley side. But, few changes if any are expected to the starting line up that has served Vince so well recently although there could be a new face in the squad by Saturday afternoon.

One player looking forward to the game is Striker Ashley Stott who currently has 14 League and Cup goals to his name.Another goal would take him to half of the 30 goal target set by Jim Vince at the start of the season.

Chorley currently lie in 17th place in the League with 3 wins from their 14 games but they haven't tasted victory in their last 6 outings. So, FC Halifax Town head into the game looking for 3 more points to cement their place at the top of the table.
