It's cup action again for the Shaymen this weekend as they travel to Harrogate Railway Athletic in the preliminary round of the FA Trophy, this being the club's fourth consecutive cup fixture in four different competitions.

Jim Vince has boosted his squad, which is hampered by a lengthy injury list, ahead of the game with Danny Meadowcroft joining from Droylsden and Colin Daniel signing for a month's loan from Crewe Alexandra. Both are expected to feature at Station View where the Town boss is looking for his side to build on Tuesday's win against Wakefield in the Unibond Cup.

Town are of course facing opposition from their own league and although Harrogate Railway are currently at the wrong end of the table league form will count for nothing on Saturday. The Rail will be out to impress new manager Steve Waddington who has taken over from Dave Morgan after his resignation earlier in the week.

One Shayman  who will be looking forward to a return to his former club is front man Danny Davidson who played a key role in Harrogate''s FA Cup run last season which took them to a televised game against Mansfield Town.Davidson scored both Rail goals in a 3 v 2 defeat against the then League Club.

There will be a familiar name in the red Harrogate shirt in Ben Jones who started the season in a blue FC Halifax Town one.
