Boosted by their 2 v 1 victory at Shawe View on Tuesday evening against Trafford FC, The Shaymen make the return journey over the Pennines on Saturday to face Lancaster City looking for more points.

Jim Vince's men banished memories of the disappointing opener against Bamber Bridge and head to the Giant Axe in search of a second win on their travels. Those who travelled to Trafford will have noticed the improvement from last Saturday and the Manager is looking for a continuation.

The Dolly Blues have an identical record to The Shaymen with a win and a loss so far.Their games contain plenty of goals with 7 scored and 7 conceded over the 2 games.Barry Stimpson's side won 3-2 at Harrogate Railway Athletic but were thumped 5 -2 on home soil against Skelmersdale United on Tuesday evening in a match watched by 218 spectators.

Town's travelling fans should increase that significantly on Saturday and for more info for Saturday - click here.

Jim Vince told the official site tonight, "We'll take care of what we can do on Saturday. I saw a massive improvement on Tuesday night, there is a good rapport between the players and you could see that tonight. They all seem to be enjoying it. I think we've now got over last Saturday, the anticlimax that it was. Hopefully we'll get progressively better."

Vince will be without experienced defender Tony Barass, striker Ryan Sugden and midfielder Adam Morning for the trip to Lancaster.

He said, I'm pleased to say that Tony Barass had his operation now and he should be back in two weeks time. We've had a little bit of concern with Adam Morning, who is not quite right.

Ryan trained a little bit tonight, we think he will be about two weeks before he will be involved on a Matchday. "

Craig Smith

Craig Smith has signed now for us, Peter Moore may be back, he'll hear tomorrow whether Exeter offer him a professional deal or not. If they don't he'll be back for Saturday but we hope it does work out for him."

The Town boss is boosted by the arrival of former Town goalkeeper Jon Kennedy who has returned to the club today from Conference North side Droylsden. However his arrival sees Craig Mawson depart the Shay in the opposite direction for an undisclosed fee. For Vince's reaction - click here.
