Halifax Town and Burton Albion have become familiar foes over the past 6 seasons and the sides have already met on 3 occasions this season. All these games were at The Shay and there has been a win, a draw and a defeat for The Shaymen.

On Tuesday night the sides meet again, this time at the Staffordshire clubs impressive Pirelli Stadium and both teams need the points for different reasons.Chris Wilder's men are looking to continue the form which has seen them gain 4 out of the last 6 points on offer whilst Nigel Clough's team have slipped to 6th and need a win to return to a play off position.

Town's response to a 6 v 1 hammering at home to Kidderminster Harriers a week ago has been impressive and has emphasised the battling qualities in the squad. And they will head to Burton confident of gaining a positive result.

Chris Wilder has the welcome luxury of a healthy squad to choose from. He's had to chop and change the team with fatigue setting in after a horrendous fixture schedule but players returning to the side are contributing to the cause.Front men Daryl Taylor and Danny Forrest weighed in with goals at Grays Athletic on Saturday and with top scorer Jon Shaw sat alongside Andy Campbell on the bench The Shaymen have options.

Jon Shaw has been a revelation since joining Halifax Town from Burton Albion and he will be assured of a warm welcome on his first return to the Pirelli Stadium. His 89th minute penalty at Grays was his 23rd goal of the season and he will be looking to increase this tally on Tuesday evening.

Town are assured of a decent support at Burton with a benefactor subsidising travel costs on the Supporters coaches.Let's hope they, along with the players, are celebrating a good result as they return home.
