Halifax Town head into Saturday's game against play off hopefuls Cambridge United in good heart after Tuesday's pulsating draw with York City. But, they will be looking to avoid the after the lord mayor's show scenario and take the 3 points on offer their recent displays, including Tuesdays, deserve.

And, they have the comfort of an excellent record against the men from the Abbey Stadium which sees them unbeaten in the 5 Conference games they have played since United's relegation in 2005.

Two season's ago Chris Senior's late goal secured the points for The Shaymen on home soil and another late goal, this time from John Grant, gained a point in the away fixture.Goals from Adam Quinn and Mark Roberts took Town to a 2 v 1 away win last season before Steve Torpey settled the home game late in the season when both Clubs required to points to avoid being dragged into the relegation places.

Both Clubs did survive and Cambridge have improved immensely with Jimmy Quinn in charge. There was little to choose back in October where the game ended 2 v 2 with Town reduced to 10 men following Jon Shaw's red card. For the record Shaw scored from the penalty spot and Town were indebted to Cortez Belle for his late thunderbolt that secured a point.

Jimmy Quinn has Conference experience and Conference success on his CV having taken Shrewsbury Town to promotion via the play offs and he's certainly improved Cambridge's fortunes. His teams are generally big, strong and direct, and they have the Conference's second top scorer in Scott Rendell amongst their ranks. They have other threats too so Town will respectful of the danger they pose.

Chris Wilder is unlikely to make many changes, if any, to the side that played York and he'll be looking to the midfield trio of Anthony Griffith, Simon Heslop and Tom Kearney to control the game in the same manner they did on Tuesday.Up front Jon Shaw will be looking to add to his impressive 17 goal haul and he has the in form Nathan Joynes and Andy Campbell to supplement his threat. New boy Mark Whitehouse capped a fairytale debut with the equaliser against York and he'll be looking for further action, probably from the bench.

It's likely to be a close encounter, Town's home record is excellent with only one defeat in the Conference all season and they'll have every confidence of 3 points by 4.45pm
