After a comprehensive victory over Bishops Stortford on Tuesday night, The Shaymen entertain Rushden and Diamonds on Saturday, as the march to Wembley continues for Chris Wilder and the boys.

Replay specialists Town will enter the game high on confidence after putting 4 past the opposition in midweek, and the "new look" side beginning to gel.

League wise, Halifax currently lie in 18th spot in the BSP, 4 points behind Diamonds but with 3 games in hand. With home advantage, and stats like that, Town look like they can shade this one, and progress in to the next round.

As the two teams meet again in the league next week, both managers might use this game to disguise any game plan to secure 3 points for the league - but with a place in the quarter finals, and an appearance at Wembley the prize at the end of this FA Trophy tunnel, who knows where the priorities lie?

With Andy Campbell and Darryn Stamp both figuring on Tuesday night, Chris Wilder could plump to give Jon Shaw a deserved rest on Saturday and pair the duo who started the season so well together a game upfront.

Tom Kearney misses out after picking up 5 yellow cards, but Anthony Griffith will be available for recall.Simon Ainge, a loan signing from Bradford City may also feature at some point during the 90 minutes.

Rushden could use new recruit Andy Gooding for the first time since his transfer from Coventry City.Gooding, a talented 19 year old, couldn't break in to the first team at the Ricoh Arena, but looks set to be a good addition to the Rushden squad who aim to avoid relegation this season.

So here's to a victory on Saturday, and being one step nearer to the big day on 10th May…..hopefully Monday morning will see the Town faithful provisionally booking the 9th May off work to make the trip and crack open the beers!

Enjoy the game.
