Ever fancied pitting your footballing skills against some of the most successful Halifax players in Halifax Town's history? Well now you can - the hugely popular Halifax Town Legends 5-a-side team will be playing at the club open day on Sunday 8th August and taking on a team of Halifax Town fans. Places in the fans team will be decided by auction, with the 5 highest bidders being the lucky ones to face the former Town stars.

Already confirmed for the Legends are 3 members of the 1998 Conference winning side; Dave Hanson, Andy Thackeray and Jon Brown. Following a couple of late withdrawals the final couple of places are still awaiting confirmation, but negotiations are at an advanced stage to fill these places and the full team will hopefully be announced in the next day or so.

The top 5 bids will secure a place in the supporters team, however whatever your maximum bid is you will only pay the amount of the 5th highest bid, for example if the 5 highest maximum bids are £100, £80, £75, £60 & £50 then all 5 winners will pay £50. I will not reveal the maximum bid amounts sent to me by email or private message, just the top 5 people and the current price of the 5th highest bid.

The auction will close at midnight on Friday 6th August. Remember all money raised will go to benefit your football club and the Legends are giving up their time to help make this event a success.
