Currently in Richmond, drinking! 116 miles done 76 to go.The walk through the lake district is spectacular but very arduous. Tomorrow it is mainly on the flat though the Vale of York, thank god! Whilst we were climbing up towards Kidsty Pike in the Lake District, a walker from another group saw Roger's FC Halifax town bag and came over for a chat. Turned out he lived in the same place as FC Halifax Town's President Bob Holmes and knows him well, small world!

We have sampled the local pubs in all the places we have been staying, some excellent venues to be fair! We were sat outside a pub in Shap the other night and a chap drove up and asked whether he was near Keighley! Don't think somehow he'd got his geography o'level! Needless to say the Australian and Londoner we were with did not have a clue where they wanted to be but Chris stepped up after making sure that there was not a keighley upon shap and pointed him back to the m6!

We are hoping to meet up with Kit Walton and Andy Gilchrist in the next day or so, a nice gesture of them to buy our drinks for the evening. . . . . Just a few more days to go and the job is done!
