FC Halifax Town sit proudly top of the Unibond First Division after six straight league wins and who would have thought that a few weeks ago?

Town didn't get off to the best of starts but Jim Vince has now got more of a settled side and has brought in some quality players that is playing some good stuff and scoring goals.

The last time Town failed to score was in the 0-0 draw with Silsden in the FA Cup at the end of August whilst in the league Town didn't score against Lancaster and Garforth Town.

Questions about fitness have been asked on the messageboard over recent weeks but last night's 3-1 win over Sheffield FC should answer those queries. Town got stronger throughout extra time and looked like they could have carried on for the rest of the night whilst our visitors Sheffield started to tire.

Adam Cheshire
Programme Content Advisor - Adam Cheshire

It was noted by Town's programme advisor Adam Cheshire that Town have now scored their 16th goal that has been scored in the last 20 minutes of games this season which isn't the sign of a side that isn't fit.

The Shaymen entertain 17th placed Chorley at the Shay on Saturday looking to extend the unbeaten league run to 10 games and as always your support will be appreciated by Jim Vince, the players and the club.

Town are now competing on and off the pitch which can only be good for the club. While Jim Vince concentrates on getting it right on the pitch, there are a number of people who are working hard to get it right off the pitch.

Pete Stajic
Contact Pete Stajic on 0785 2207635 or email petestajic@halifaxafc.co.uk

One of those is Marketing and Sales Executive Pete Stajic who is working tirelessly to bring in revenue to the Football Club. He is always on the lookout for good leads and opportunities to follow up on for the benefit of your club so if you are able to sponsor anything towards the club or know of a business that would support us, please contact Pete Stajic on 0785 2207635 or email petestajic@halifaxafc.co.uk

Please don't leave it for others - if every fan that comes through the gate on Saturday provided Pete with one good lead then he can forget his holidays and his gym membership and he can really make a difference which can only be beneficial to Jim Vince on the pitch as well.

We all know Town fans that have stopped going for various reasons over the last few years. Is it now not the time for us all to be banging the drum and saying that we have a manager, a team and a club to be proud of? We had a gate on the opening day of the season of 1549 against Bamber Bridge, we have two home games left this month with Chorley and high flying Newcastle Blue Star to visit the Shay. How lovely would it be to beat that opening attendance?

Shay Fans

The fans support is vital for the club

This club has the best opportunity to build solid foundations for the future and no matter what anyone else connected with the club does, it cannot do it without your support.

So get down to the Shay early on Saturday, take up your position and get behind your team from the 1st minute to the 90th minute and let's really make a difference.

For those that are unable to attend matches, don't forget you can get "Live Updates" from every FC Halifax Town game now - for those that haven't seen it - login to the Live Updates screen from 15 mins prior to the game and just refresh your page every couple of minutes and you will get updates from the games. We are also keep an eye on other scores so there really is no need to go anywhere else.

When the Live Updates started on October 25th, I advised that it was on a trial period to see what sort of response it got.

Woodley Sports
No power in stand at Woodley Sports

We had an issue with the laptop battery not having enough charge at away grounds that didn't have a power source in their main stand. I can confirm that a new battery has been ordered and received. I would personally like to thank ArchieUK for his support in providing this for the club.

I have reviewed the statistics for the Live Updates and it has had a great response and Town are now on to have another record breaking month for website stats. I can now confirm that this service will carry on for the rest of the season.

Town got their highest ever stats for the website back in September which eclipsed the figures for the Conference playoff final month in May 2006 which many would find surprising being three divisions below where we were last season.

However we are now getting even more people reading the site on a daily basis and your support in this is much appreciated.

We are looking at ways to improve the site further and hopefully we will be in a position to advertise these shortly. If you have any ideas for ways of improving the site in the meantime - please contact kellygilchrist@halifaxafc.co.uk
