FC Halifax Town travel to Woodley Sports on Saturday looking to extend their unbeaten run in the league.

Midfielder Tom Baker told the official site tonight, "It's going well, we'd had a couple of good results before I came in but we've carried on the good league form. I'm glad to be in the team, playing and winning games.

I have done okay, I feel I can do a lot better and there is a lot more to come from me.

Three or four weeks before I came here I hadn't played much football and then two weeks ago I got a knock on my ankle. It's still sore. I have been strapping it up and been getting through games. You're always going to get niggling injuries in this league.

The partnership in the midfield area is great, we've seemed to gel and I feel like I have played with them all of last season and this with them. I think that's been a big part of winning these games as if you win the battle in the middle of the park; you stand a good chance of winning games.

Confidence is high amongst the lads; we know we didn't play well on Tuesday night in face the second half was dreadful which includes me. I have played in so many games like that, they throw men forward and you're pinned back. You have got to keep the ball which we didn't do enough.

I have not seen much of Woodley Sports this season. I went there last season with Bradford Park Avenue and it's not a great place to play on the Astroturf. We were top of the league and they were near the bottom and they beat us 1-0. They are used to the surface, they train on it. It's difficult but if we want to do anything in this league we need to be going to places like Woodley and picking up the three points."

On a lighter note Tom Baker let us in on a couple of secrets tonight. He reckons Paul Gedman is probably the joker in the squad while he describes centre half Danny Meadowcroft as the worst dressed player as "he dresses like a Womble."
