FC Halifax Town travel to Woodley Sports on Saturday knowing a victory would put the Shaymen top of the Unibond First Division.

Town manager Jim Vince told the official site tonight, "There is a belief in the camp at the moment and I think the last month has cemented our credentials in kicking on in this league.

We are not a team which people anticipate that we are easy to turn over like we were towards the start of the season. We were poor, we were an easy team to beat but we've turned that around and we're a hard to team to beat now.

Three points are important on Saturday and that's the mentality I will be getting across to the players. We won't win the league on Saturday as it's won in April but we've a long way to go. We've four months of hard work, we need to keep progressing and performing to the levels that we are capable of.

I didn't think we were good on Tuesday, I thought we sat back too much but we won the game. When we win a game, I look at the performance levels. I have always said that if you perform well then the results take care of themselves. We didn't play well on Tuesday night but the results was good, you can only get three or four of them in a season so I think we used up a life there.

I played there two years ago and I thought my team would suit that kind of surface. They did suit it but Woodley made it very difficult for us. They will have an edge as it's a surface that we are not used to playing on. There are different dangers on Saturday and we've to be alive to it. We need to be disciplined and strong. We need to keep the ball better, it's a level playing surface. They are used to it and we have to rise above it and do what we are good at.

Damien Allen's hamstring isn't as serious as we first thought, we think two to three weeks for him to be out. Danny Meadowcroft is struggling with his knee, we'll have to assess that on Saturday."

There will be live updates from Woodley Sports from 2.45pm on Saturday afternoon.
