FC Halifax Town manager Jim Vince is looking forward to tomorrow's clash with Curzon Ashton as he looks for his side to continue their good league form.

Vince told the official site, "It will be a difficult game against Curzon Ashton. They have already beaten us at the Shay in a cup competition this season so we know that they have potential match winners in their team.

They have got through to the 1st Round of the FA Cup, which I congratulate them on. It's good from my point of view that a Manchester side is flying the flag for my area. They have surprised a few people and we can't take them lightly.

I am confident that if we do what we are capable of doing we can win the game."

Vince will welcome Paul Gedman back into his first team squad after he signed from Droylsden on a permanent deal this week. He was ineligible to play in the West Riding County Cup defeat on Tuesday night at Wakefield.

Captain Tony Barras is also expected to be involved in tomorrow's trip to Curzon Ashton after completing 20 minutes with no effects at College Grove.

However he will be without the services of Peter Moore, who has been released by the club.

Moore wanted guaranteed first team football and Vince was unable to promise that to him.

He said, "Peter wanted guaranteed football but no player at the club is certain of a place. The contracted players have to work hard to get their place and keep it. Peter was non-contracted and he had to fight for his place or look elsewhere for first team football. It is performance related for players getting in the team. I wish him well for the future."

Vince has also been sickened by the news that Ross Clegg is now likely to miss the rest of the season as the surgeon has advised that he will need his cruciate repaired by surgery.

Clegg was hoping to be back in action but the news is likely to keep him out of action for the rest of the campaign.

The official site will be providing updates from 2.45pm tomorrow.
