Don't leave those old football boots to gather dust in the cupboard.Let FC Halifax Town give them a new lease of life through the inspiring 'Boots for Africa' charity appeal.

As a member of the UniBond League, FC Halifax Town is joining with the other 62 clubs to collect unwanted boots which, when cleaned up, will be given to communities across the African continent including South Africa, Ethiopia, Ghana and Zambia.

Since the charity was launched last year, more than 4,000 pairs of boots have already crossed the world. The enthusiastic involvement of all 63 UniBond League clubs is expected to add thousands more, giving disadvantaged young Africans their first ever pair of football boots instead of playing in bare feet on rubble strewn pavements.

Your support is invaluable but, to help, please ensure that the boots are clean, have a full set of studs and are tied together by the laces. Then take or send them to FC Halifax Town office or the club shop.

Junior clubs, schools and members of the public can donate their wearable boots of any size to the campaign, while 'Boots for Africa' boot bags are also available to buy for £3 with proceeds going to the charity.

Full details of the scheme can be found on the UniBond League website - www.unibondleague.com.
