Kennedy - I Must Be A Lucky Omen
New signing Jon Kennedy was pleased to have kept a clean sheet for the second time in two spells at the Shay.
He told the official site after the game, "It was the second time I have had my debut for Town and had a 0-0 draw. I must be a lucky omen.
A clean sheet is always good and picked up a few knocks during the game. I thought we had enough opportunities to have won the game but at least it's a game unbeaten."
This is Kennedy's second time at the Shay and he had spells with Witton Albion and Droylsden before returning to Town.
"I enjoyed my time before and it is a big club. Despite the financial situation before, it's still a big club and I'm now looking forward to playing again.
I have been at Witton with Jim Vince for the last couple of seasons. I left to go to Droylsden which unfortunately didn't work out. They didn't want to keep me and they wanted to sign Craig Mawson so it was a straight swop.
It will take time as it is a brand new team. However once we start gelling I think we will kick on.
At this level winning the league is a priority but promotion is key for us.
I know Ryan Sugden from here before; I know Dorryl and a couple of lads from being at Witton and it does help you when settling back into the club."
