Halifax Town have announced that Jon Shaw has signed for Coca Cola League Two side Rochdale this afternoon.

The former Burton Albion striker, has signed a two year deal at Spotland for an undisclosed fee and had attracted interest from a number of clubs for his services.

General Manager Angie Firth said, "We can confirm the transfer of Jon Shaw to Rochdale AFC which was completed late this afternoon.

Jon leaves The Shay with all our best wishes for the future and we wish him every success."

Shaw joined the Shaymen from Burton in August 2007 and scored 20 goals in 37 appearances for the club. He went onto make 5 appearances for the England C team this summer.
