FC Halifax Town manager Neil Aspin spoke to Shaymen Player after his side's 1-1 draw with Northwich Victoria, and said his players couldn't have played any better.

"I'm frustrated because the players didn't get what they deserved. They did everything that I asked, they played with more tempo than we have done at home, created more chances, more determination, better all round the park, but just couldn't get the second goal which would've killed the game off."

Aspin said the team didn't get the rub of the green in the game, and were unlucky not to get all three points.

"I can't criticise anybody, I thought everything was there, we just lacked the luck, and sometimes that can play a part in football. It leaves you feeling really frustrated because we were a little bit of luck away from winning that game by three or four goals tonight and the players deserved it."

On a sour note, man-of-the-match Jamie Vardy suffered a suspected broken foot, which, if confirmed, would be a big blow for Aspin.

"Jamie Vardy might have a broken foot, which he's going to have to get x-rayed at hospital and see what the extent of the injury is, but if that's confirmed then obviously it will be a blow, but we'll have to wait and see."
