FC Halifax Town manager told Shaymen Player that his side lost the physical battle with Chasetown in the 2-1 defeat on Saturday.

"I just think we got outfought and we got bullied. They put a lot of bigger, stronger lads on and I just felt we didn't cope and weren't strong enough."

Aspin insisted his players have some work to do to improve on their performance at Chasetown.

"Again, 45 minutes isn't enough. We played alright, but that's not good enough, so there's not a lot of positives and we're going to have to respond and play better than we did in the second-half."

It was only Aspin's third league defeat as FC Halifax Town boss, but that didn't take the disappointment off the day for the manager.

"Any defeat hurts. We know it's going to be tougher this year, and if I lose to a team that plays well then I've got to hold my hands up. I give them credit for the way they responded in the second-half, but I'm very disappointed."
