Michael Wilde, Town's new signing, spoke to Adam Cheshire after today's 2-2 draw with AFC Fylde about his debut performance:

"I enjoyed it but the disappointing thing was the result in the end, apart from that I just enjoyed playing football with the lads. It obviously would have been better to take the three points."

Wilde scored on his debut too, which will have boosted his confidence:

"It's always a bonus, hopefully there is some more to come as well and I should have maybe had a couple more today. We'll just have to see how it goes but I really enjoyed it today."

He also gave his thoughts on Town and their season so far:

"When the football results come in I'm always having a look out for Halifax and it's a big club, it was its reputation that inspired me to come and play for the club."

And also gave some background to himself and his playing career:

"I'm 26 now and I've spent most of my time in Wales, played for a full time team called TNS and then was at Fleetwood Town and the past couple of weeks I hadn't been getting any football. I didn't want my fitness to suffer and I wanted to be playing games so it's great opportunity and to have a little look at Halifax and hopefully help towards the push for promotion."
