FC Halifax Town answered their critics with an excellent 5-0 victory over West Yorkshire rivals Ossett Albion, a result which delighted manager Neil Aspin.

Speaking to Shaymen Player's Adam Cheshire after the victory, Aspin said;

"As a big club, we are always under pressure to win games but it's even more the case when we let a lead slip like we did on Saturday. But the players have done well to carry that onto the pitch, and we made sure we killed the game off at 3-0."

Nick Gray's hat trick earned particular praise from the Shaymen boss, but Harry Winter's supporting effort not going unnoticed;

"I considered resting Nick for tonight, but he took his goals very well and deserved his ovation at the end. As for Harry, I gave him a bit of stick the other week for not scoring enough goals, so he's certainly proved me wrong! I hope we can keep him for a bit longer."

The Shay pitch was again a talking point after a massive effort from the ground staff to get the game played;

"After seeing the pitch following Sunday's game, I was surprised the game was on tonight. The pitch was tough to pass the ball on, but were never going to use that as a excuse. Superb effort to get the game played once again."
