Ellison - Delighted To Have The Chance
FC Halifax Town have beaten Skelmersdale United 3-0 at the Shay today with goals from Junior Brown, Cavell Coo and Ashley Stott.
Town boss Jim Vince was missing goalkeeper Jon Kennedy who had a bout of food poisoning and brought Phil Senior back into the starting XI. However he injured himself shortly before kickoff and Craig Ellison made his league debut for the Shaymen.
Ellison told the official site, "I had a good game, it was a solid performance and the gaffer has given me the confidence to go out and do it today. Also Phil Senior, who got injured in the warm-up today, gave me plenty of help and advice prior to the game kicking off.
The team played well and the defence protected me well which really helped me, all the back three were very good today.
I have been here since the start of the season so not as much pressure for me but delighted to have played and kept a clean sheet.
Next Game: Town entertain Curzon Ashton in the Unibond Cup - Saturday 18th October, 3pm kickoff.
