FC Halifax Town drew 2-2 with Garforth Town with two late goals earning Town a point.

New signing Damian Allen made his debut for the Shaymen and his corner was met perfectly by Junior Brown to help Town get their point.

Allen told the official site after the game, "It was a great game and it was end to end stuff. We have done well with our attacking tonight but we let ourselves down with our defending.

The gaffer had us in for training last night and we were working on our set pieces and it was good that we made one pay off and produce a goal.

The lads never stopped going and if we can cut out the sloppy mistakes we'll win more games than we lose which is obviously the aim and get out of this league.

It's different at this level, it's more frantic and you don't get that much time on the ball. It's not a bad level; there will be quite a few on the pitch that have played in the league before.

This is the biggest club outside of the league and I know they got relegated due to financial issues but it's still a big club. I went to the ground last week and I couldn't believe that the place is set up like a league club.

I spoke to the gaffer, I've heard plenty of good things about him and I'm looking forward to it. I asked a few people about it and I was impressed straight away.

It was top drawer playing 25 league games last year for Morecambe and I was released in the summer. I have been at Droylsden, Altrincham and a couple of others since but none of the clubs suited the way I play or the club wasn't set up in the right way. Even if a club is higher up the league, it doesn't always mean it's a good set up.

I am looking forward to playing on Saturday, there was a good away following tonight and it will be good to play in front of the home crowd at the weekend."
