Dream Come True For Davidson
FC Halifax Town beat Ossett Albion 4-3 at Dimple Wells tonight in the Unibond Presidents Cup.
Danny Davidson grabbed two goals for Town to secure the club's place in the next round against Sheffield FC.
He told the official site after the game, "It went well for me tonight. We have a big squad now and I am glad I have got my chance to show the gaffer what I can do now.
The first goal was similar to the one that hit the bar which I think went in and I was disappointed not to get the hat trick.
I am hoping that I have done enough to play in the FA Cup against Nantwich at the weekend.
I had rushed back to playing after a hernia operation. This is my home town club and to play for Town is a dream come true. I wasn't really fit and I didn't do myself justice against Mossley.
To play alongside Nigel Jemson is class, he's different class. I am questioning him about runs to make and he'll really help my game.
It's four wins now and with the gaffer strengthening the squad we'll keep getting better."
