Halifax Town manager Chris Wilder was pleased with his side's performance this afternoon.

"I think it was a great point. As I said on Thursday, I think it has been scandalous the fixture schedule expecting us to play both Thursday and this afternoon. To have played on Saturday, Tuesday, Thursday and today. I think it showed what we all about. The players got beat on Tuesday night and to get four points, I think that tells a story.

I thought we played well in the first half; there were some tired players out there. We needed to set our stall out early and they didn't have a shot until the 31st minute.

They are doing well, they have good players and to have their first meaningful shot then was a good effort.

They haven't really worked hard for their first goal, it was ball behind. With better communication the ball would have gone out of play. Adam Quinn went for the header it fell to their lad and it was a good finish.

I nailed Daryl Taylor after the Exeter game; I thought he could contribute a lot more for the team. I think he did today with his goal and his overall general play especially in the second half. He's been out a long time with niggling injuries but you could see after his goal his confidence grew.

We went down again but equalised through a fantastic goal from Danny Forrest.Their goal was a straight ball behind. Adam Quinn hasn't played for a month but he wanted to play.

We got a penalty because we deserved one. Let's be right about this, I've talked to the lads on their bench and we should have had a penalty in the first half through Darryn Stamp. He's gone around the goalkeeper with an open goal and it's not given.

For their third goal, Quinn is 6ft 2 and 14 stone and their lad charges into him. He knocks him down to the ground. I think the referee had lost it by this stage.

Tom Kearney wriggled in the box and managed to get us a penalty. I think it shows the character in abundance that Jon Shaw stood up to take the penalty after missing one on Thursday night and he buried it.

It's a point for us, it's a fantastic result for us after a good week after the Forest Green performance, Thursday night and this afternoon if you take the Kidderminster game out of it. It's been a very big effort by the players and they are desperate to turn things round. I am a proud manager tonight and I think the supporters should be very proud of their team tonight. We need to keep this going; I can see the players are showing some confidence coming back."
