Halifax Town manager Chris Wilder was disappointed to see his side lose 2-0 away at Forest Green Rovers.

"It was poor defending and we knew Stuart Fleetwood was going to be a threat for them.We had planned to hopefully nullify him.

We have gifted them two goals in the first five minutes; it put us behind on the chalkboard and made it difficult for us.

I thought we created some good chances, Jon Shaw and Andy Campbell both went through and didn't take their chances. The difference between the two sides was that Fleetwood took his chances and we didn't.

Forest Green are an excellent side and have very good players in very good positions. They haven't had a lot of movement in terms of injuries or suspensions all season and you could see that they were a better side than us today.

We have to take the defeat on the chin, it was deserved. Hopefully it wasn't a reaction to the news yesterday; we've not to make that an excuse. We have to move on to the next two league games which are Oxford United (h) and Droylsden (a). The games take on vital importance for us next weekend.

In the past six weeks, our players have been getting 7,8,9 points out of 10 and I would say that out of today's game only 1 or 2 would come out with pass marks. That's not enough to win a game of football.

The first goal was a gift, poor defending from a set piece. The ball has gone into the box, Fleetwood has drifted off his marker. The players are given their markers before the game and it goes down as an individual error.

The second goal, we've not dealt with a long ball and Fleetwood runs in behind. I have seen him many times. He's an excellent player and I am surprised he is still here. He's shown his quality there to take his chance to make it 2-0.

It gave thema great platform to build on, they are a team which have confidence and can express themselves very well. We said before the game we needed to keep it tight, so 2-0 downafter 6 minutes isn't keeping it tight.

We did have some good chances and we do create them away from home. Shaw and Campbell both went through, their goalkeeper made a couple of great saves. Legzdins has made a save towards the end which was a routine save, but I think that Robinson was the busier goalkeeper.

In terms of the standard of refereeing today, I have been in the game a long time from being a player from 16 to 33 and from management from then to now. That has to be the worst referee's performance I have ever seen. It was absolutely embarrassing; he overruled both linesman's twice. He was bad for both teams. I can imagine why players get frustrated. There were players diving trying to get free kicks which I don't agree with.

I have criticised his performance as I hope he doesn't leave here thinking he has had a good game. There are a couple of ex Football League referee's here who are assessors and I will be asking what they think of his performance today.

We have to move on, it was a bad day for us today but we have to write it off and move on to the next games.
