Halifax Town boss Chris Wilder was disappointed his side only got a point at Nene Park this afternoon.

"I think we did enough to win the game today, I thought the attitude of the players was excellent, the play was good and we created chances.

For their goals, the first being a penalty. The linesman is 40 yards away and the referee has a good view from 10 yards. His view wasn't blocked and he didn't give the penalty. He waves it away, so he's seen it and didn't give it. I then look over and the linesman, who didn't put his flag up straight away, he's taken his time and flagged for the spot kick. I said to him at halftime that he was 40 yards away with Ainge's back to him, how could he be certain that it was a penalty?

Andy Campbell was not offside for their second goal, the ball is delivered into our box from the free kick and we defended it well heading it out for a throw. I've said to the linesman to watch their lad's feet and he was a yard on the pitch when the throw was taken. He's not given it. It doesn't matter whether it is the 93rd minute, 15th or 20th minute, he needs to be consistent with the decisions as he adjudged Thomas Harban to have done a foul throw in the first half. I am not happy with the performance of the referee; you've seen my reaction at the final whistle. It's the same referee who sent Tom Kearney off at Stevenage and he then missed six weeks of the season for an offence he didn't really deserve to be red carded for.

I am gutted for everyone who has travelled down, for everyone who has come to watch us and for the players. I thought they deserved to win, there has been a lot said about them this week.

I have got to get the players up again for Tuesday night with the visit of York City. Over the three games with Rushden & Diamonds this season, we have drawn two and gone out of the cup. I don't think we deserved that. I think we could have won the game by more than one goal today on the first half performance. The three points today would have given us a massive lift and given us a kick-start for Tuesday.

Craig Nelthorpe nipped in well with his goal; he hasn't played a lot of football recently. We knew Rushden would come at us in the second half and we wanted to use Andy Campbell's pace. It's paid off for Andy, he's got his goal and we're all delighted for him. I thought the two goals we scored were decent goals, I think we have created chances to win the game, I understand they had chances too. It was a tight game and sometimes you do feel like you have been mugged, which I do today. We didn't deserve to draw; we deserved to win in my opinion.

Andy Campbell has taken plenty of knocks over the last two years, we are delighted for him. He gets into those positions a lot, he's a big player for us and it's been playing on his mind. He's been playing 30 to 35 minutes slots, he's had chances at Northwich and at our home game and I know he's feeling a little down, so hopefully that will give him a boost and kick start him into getting us a few more goals.

Alex Bailey tweaked a groin muscle before the game. I thought Thomas Harban came in and did very well. It was 2.55pm when he got the call. I was disappointed for Alex, but Tom took his chance and did well.

Simon Ainge had a touch of cramp which is why he came off for us."

Halifax Town entertain York City at the Shay on Tuesday night, kick-off 7.45pm.
