Halifax Town boss Chris Wilder said after the game, "Even though they scored in the 48th or 49th minute despite the fact that the fourth official put up two minutes extra to play, I was very confident that we could have got the win here today.

I thought the shape of the team was excellent, the character yet again can't be questioned. I think we've had the three best opportunities in the second half to win the game and looked comfortable. I thought we played the second half very well. Yes people will expect us to come here and win but 10 men again which was our own doing which I understand but good character again and I am disappointed with a couple bits of naivety we have shown because for their second goal, Simon Heslop had a chance to put the ball into the corner. He'll learn from that, he's been great for us. Nathan Joynes will learn from today. Unfortunately, it has semi cost us today as I was confident with the players we have got that we could have gone on and won the game.

Craig Nelthorpe hadn't trained on Friday as his wife has been in hospital. It's been a hectic 48 hours for him. He took his goal well.

We gave the initiative to Northwich to them too quickly after we scored, when we got our second, I thought we were on top until the little lack of professionalism that Heslop has shown there and it ended up costing us and giving them a massive lift into halftime. Ourselves, it was a downer going into halftime not winning.

I think Jon Shaw was excellent for his goal. I've seen him turn away and let the goalkeeper have an extra touch and then closed him down. It was a fantastic attitude, grit & determination and a clever bit of thinking. He's closed him down and we've got a little bit of luck with the bounce of the ball. Delighted with the goal, we were comfortable and should have gone into the second half ahead.

We now have to look ahead to Tuesday night's game which is a big game for us."
