BSFC Match :- Wilder's View
Halifax Town manager Chris Wilder was delighted with his side in tonight's 4-1 win.
He said after the game, "You have to beat what is in front of you. I thought we were excellent from start to finish. I was obviously disappointed with the goal right at the end but their goalkeeper made some important saves. Our set pieces were good tonight, the play on a difficult surface was good, we wanted to pass the ball and create chances. Jon Shaw's goal was excellent, Nelthorpe showed glimpses of what he is about. Overall it was a very pleasing night.
Losing Lee Butler today who has gone to Doncaster, he's gone as their goalkeeping coach, so I am disappointed about that but Lee has worked very hard for this Football Club and deserves his chance to move into the Football League. So a few things have taken the gloss off tonight's excellent performance.
We will carry on working hard, motivating the players and try to get a perfect result on Saturday playing free flowing football, creating loads of chances, keeping clean sheets and everyone playing to their best of their ability which we always aim for and hopefully we'll do that on Saturday.
