Halifax Town Assistant Manager Peter Atherton could not believe Town came away from Woking without at least a point.

Atherton said after the game, "It's unbelievable really. We'll have to look at the video for their goal which was disappointing for us. However the lads have reacted well. They have really taken the game to Woking. We have created a number of chances but couldn't find the back of the net. That's the disappointing thing not to come away with at least a point. If we had got one, it would have been nice to see what happened after that.

A number of players including Adam Legzdins who had the best view, said the ball was out of play before their goal. Scott says the ball was out and their player has gone through the back of him as he tried to shield the ball out as you see every week on the television throughout the leagues. The benefit usually goes with the defender but unfortunately the referee has played on. We have been punished with that but as I say the lads reacted magnificently.

The whole team played well, in particular Joynes and Shaw linked up well. Caused a lot of problems and created chances but the icing wasn't on the cake with a goal for either of them.

Losing Torpey was a blow as it upset the balance of the side but we had Lewis Killeen who could go onto the left, he's played there before. He's familiar with the role, so it wasn't as if we hadn't got an ideal replacement. It was disappointing to lose him as we were looking to his left foot to get some delivery into the box for us to the frontmen. It's another disappointment but hopefully won't be too serious and he'll be back soon.

The players know how they have played, they are disappointed they haven't scored and got any points. One goal has killed the game for us, but their reaction today was unbelievable. I am expecting the same in the next game.

I was really pleased with Nathan Joynes in his return to the club. We wanted to get as much out of him as possible and then we brought Cammy on. Magnificent performance, he did really well. Nathan's a familiar face with him being here last year so he slotted in really well. Thomas has done well this week and they look decent players. The gaffer is always on the look out to improve the squad."
