SCFC Match :- Wilder's View
It was mixed emotions for me today. If I am being honest I thought we were poor today up to the final half an hour. We didn't pass the ball well enough; we looked a yard off the game physically and mentally. That disappointed us but we changed it around with half an hour to go. We gave a poor goal away, changed the front end of the pitch and looked more comfortable with that. I think we deserved our equaliser at that time of the game and it was a touch disappointing that we have two or three chances near the end to win the game Full credit to the opposition, I thought they were excellent, their two lads up front caused us problems, the boys in midfield got about the park and pass the ball while the two centrehalves I thought were very dominant.
I look at that with a win at Stevenage and a point at home, I would have been happy if it had flipped around with the combination of 4 points out of 6 on offer. However we wanted to get the three points today and that is what obviously disappoints us.
"We played Jake Wright in midfield, it didn't really work. Bushell hasn't done anything all week, Jon Shaw got a ball straight in the eye after five seconds. That's why we were concerned with him for the entire first half as he had blurred vision for the whole of the game.
Quinny came off at halftime with an Achilles injury, with the players we've got out injured it doesn't look good. We've lost Stamp, who'd only just got going again. We are a patched up outfit at the moment. I'll look at it tomorrow and probably think it's not a bad point. We set our standards and I think today we will realise we weren't at our best and we needed to grind out the win.
