4.54pm - Phew! Glad that's over! Fantastic result for the Shaymen as they open their Evo-Stik Premier League campaign with a hard fought victory over Buxton.

4.53pm - Ref blows for bizarre free kick after Town try to keep possession

4.52pm - Baker trickery on edge of area results in corner. A bit of keep ball now for Town

4.50pm - Holland nearly makes amends but can't get touch to beat Hartley after being released through on goal

4.47pm - Striker's placed penalty is saved by Hartley to his left

4.34pm - Hard work nearly all undone. Free header for Buxton but Hardy somehow manages to header ball over bar on the line. Fantastic defending. That's why you have someone on the line!

3.45pm - Nine white shirts on the line as ball is touched to Holland but weak effort is cleared. Ball lands on striker's head but looping effort strikes bar

3.44pm - This really is a chance for the Shaymen. Good move down the right sees Baker's cross tapped back to keeper by defender. But Hartley picks it up and referee blows for a pass-back!

3.43pm - Left-back Ridley throws himself to the floor but referee sees through it!

3.42pm - Boos ring around the Shay after Vardy is alleged to have unfairly collided with Hartley. Again the goalkeeper needs treatment, which the Town fans do not like

3.41pm - Resulting corner again goes to the far post but Holland's ambitious volley lands in the empty North Stand

3.40pm - Great chance to maybe put the game to bed before half time. Gray is suddenly sprung clean through on goal in acres of space. Just as he is about to pull the trigger to make it 2-0 Wilcox produces a miraculous tackle to intervene

3.37pm - Another chance after sloppy Town defending. Reed is again in, Hedge clears only to Asky who gets his shot horribly wrong. It was an open net! Another let-off for Town

3.36pm - Deep ball from the right goes over head of Riley and Reed is in on goal. Ball escapes him and Hedge smothers, who is angry with Reed for apparently leaving a foot in

3.34pm - Reed appears offside but the visitors' star striker's deflected effort from an acute angle is comfortable for Hedge

3.33pm - Garner corner met by head of Riley at the far post but it's just a whisker over the bar. Hartley would've had no chance with that bullet!

3.30pm - The first 30 minutes of the new season have flown by

3.29pm - Baker freekick from left wing lands in keeper's hands, who goes down after a challenge from Riley. Treatment needed for Hartley

3.28pm - Vardy and Holland, like they've shown in pre-season, are working really well together upfront, as Holland charges down a defensive clearance. Great work-rate

3.26pm - Yet another sweeping attack by Town involving Vardy, Holland, Winter and Gray but the winger can't get a decent cross in.

3.25pm - That would've been debatable. Baker tries clearing the ball on edge of area but it strikes the referee giving possession in a dangerous area to Buxton. However, the away side can't create anything. Riley back on by the way

3.24pm - Riley receiving treatment near the halfway line to facial injury.

3.23pm - Buxton, who started brightly, have a rare attack but Hunter flashes a speculative drive wide

3.22pm - Town are really turning it on now. Hardy, Winter and Gray work sublimely to create a chance but Buxton clear for a corner, which Hartley handles well

3.20pm - There were appeals that the ball had actually crossed the line! Not as clear cut as Frank Lampard's effort against Germany earlier in the Summer though!

3.19pm - What a goal that would have been! Town work the ball beautifully forward, Vardy lays it off for Winter to smash 25 yards out, but his screamer hits the underside of the crossbar and bounces away to safety

3.18pm - Town fans aren't happy. Referee believes Vardy to be dispossessed of the ball fairly on edge of area

3.16pm - Town keep attacking but Hardy's ball to Baker is too hard and ball goes behind for goalkick

3.14pm - Another chance for Town but Vardy's overhead kick flies wide

3.14pm - Holland scores on his league debut

3.13pm - Vardy does brilliantly down the left and cuts the ball back to Holland who scrambles the ball over the line. Perfect Start to Town's Evo-Stik Premier League campaign

3.10pm - Hardy centres a glorious ball from the right and it only needs a touch but Winter and Vardy can't force the ball home

3.09pm - Hunter swings it in but Anderson's header goes harmlessly wide of Hedge's post

3.08pm - The away side now have a free kick at the other end just outside the area. Chance for the visitors

3.07pm - Town have free kick on right hand touchline but Garner's left-footed inswinger is far too long. Goal-kick to Buxton

3.06pm - Let off for Town. Buxton corner flicked-on at near post and ball is bundled over line, but fortunately for the Shaymen the referee sees an infringement. No goal.

3.03pm - Town down the lefty hand side with Jamie Vardy and his cross is cut out for a corner. Town into the box but cleared and Winter foul

3.01pm - Holland in the box, finds Winter but shot blocked. Cross from the left is too high for Holland and Buxton survive an early chance
