Blast From The Past

Posted on: Fri 06 Mar 2009

Tom Kearney started his career with boyhood club Everton in 2000, but spent two years at Goodison Park without making a single first team appearance.

His quest for first-team football took him to Division One side Bradford in March 2002. The tricky midfielder spent four years at Valley Parade, making 59 appearances and scoring two goals.

It was not a successful time however as the Bantams were relegated to Division Two in his second full season with the club, and he left for Conference side Halifax in September 2006. It was at the Shay where his career really took off, and he made 74 appearances in two years. He was forced to move on however in July 2008 when the club were liquidated and he signed for Wrexham, who had just finished bottom of the Football League. This is where he currently plies his trade.
