Adam Out For Three Weeks

Posted on: Wed 12 Nov 2008

Former Halifax Town defender Adam Yates has suffered a gashed knee in Morecambe FA Cup win over Grimsby Town at the weekend and is due to be out of action for approximately three weeks.

Morecambe boss Sammy McIIroy told The Citizen "It's a bad one for the boy. It is a deep cut and needed stitches and it is a big blow because he has been doing so well."

Former Town defender Peter Murphy is on his way back a medial knee ligament injury that he suffered back in September.

Carlisle physion Neil Dalton told their official website, "Peter is coming along slowly but surely. He has a lot of bleeding after his operation which has probably hindered us a little bit, but he's moving swiftly now. We'll build him up this week and, all being well, will continue to get the swelling down on his knee. He's still on course for about the four week target we set two weeks ago."
