Defender Joins North East Side

Former Halifax Town defender James Dudgeon has signed for Unibond First Division side Newcastle Blue Star from Gainsborough Trinity

The 27 year old made 10 league appearances for the Shaymen in the 2003/04 season.

Peter Moore who was recently released by Jim Vince as he wanted guaranteed first team football is training with Northwich Victoria.

Former Town and Silsden midfielder Craig Smith has joined Harrogate Railway Athletic after a brief spell at Ossett Town.

Meanwhile former Town striker Darren Mansaram has signed for Retford United from Leigh Genesis, former midfielder Val Owen has joined Witton Albion from Blue Square Premier side Altrincham and former frontman Ian Fitzpatrick has joined Radcliffe Borough from Ashton United.

Two former youngsters have also moved clubs with Ryan Hindley has joined Belper Town from Retford United and Luke Ibbetson has switched to Frickley Atheltic from Pickering Town.
