Former Sheff Wed and Halifax Town striker Grant Holt is set to have clear the air talks with current club Notts Forest.
"When Grant is back from the training camp in Austria, we will meet with Mark Arthur regarding his future," Holt's agent Lee Payne told the Nottingham Evening Post.
"We are hopeful, because at least we're talking.
"Grant wants to stay and see Forest promoted. That would be a great achievement and that's been his point of view all along.
"The only reason he did what he did was because of the way the club was towards him at the end of last season."
Holt made 6 appearances for Town in the 1999/01 seasons.
