Former Halifax Town defender Henry McStay is having a trial with Scottish side St Mirren.

Buddies manager Gus McPherson said: "We'll have ex-Leeds United and Halifax player Henry McStay with us for a couple of days.

"He'll be here for us to have a look at him over a few training sessions."

McStay made 8 league appearances for the Shaymen in the 2004/05 season.

Former Crewe Alexandra and Halifax Town defender Mark Roberts has joined Coca Cola League Two side Accrington Stanley from Northwich Victoria.

The 23 year old moves to the Lancashire side which will see a fee being decided by tribunal.

Roberts made 13 league appearances in the 2006/07 season scoring 1 goal which came in the 2-1 away win at Cambridge United in August 2006.
